Attracted by the unexpected, Utrecht-based producer and DJ Tala Drum Corps is on a quest to seek out the treasures in a never ending sea of music. By cherry picking tunes from the rich scope of genres like wave, experimental techno and leftfield club, Tijmen Lohmeijer fuses sounds that both clash and melt together intricately. He draws inspiration from remarkable realms, such as jungle levels from videogames or futuristic cities in anime. With two solo releases on The Hague-based imprint BAKK, he constantly manufactures new outputs for his musical endeavors. By showcasing the hidden gems from the past, Tala combines forward thinking electronics with the primal and organic.

As part of the Send // Return X Freaky Dancing residency, in which producers will create a new collaborative liveshow in the span of three days in Utrecht’s esteemed synthesizer studio Sonar Traffic, he will do a joint live set with Ramses3000.
